As a part time instructor with the Council on Aging at local senior centers, I also enjoy working part time as a companion. I have extensive experience with seniors with dementia. With a 25-year background as a former rehabilitation counselor and activities specialist, I have worked with people with disabilities as well as seniors in memory care. I love engaging seniors with conversation and enjoyable activities such as word games, puzzles, trivia, arts/crafts, scrapbooks, cooking, music, walking, fitness, or other hobbies. I am seeking a position to share my skills as a companion and engagement specialist. I can also assist with light housekeeping, food preparation, laundry, medication management, home organization, and social activities.
