I have worked with children primarily as a social worker for 14 years, in schools, in a hospital, in an academic summer program & camp I have also provided consultation to a child development center for children 2-5. From June to December 2014, I assisted in providing care for an infant in foster care. He was 9 months old when he was transferred to a new foster home. I talked, sang, read, and played on the floor with the baby. I introduced him to solid foods and bathed him. I enjoyed seeing him develop. Making sure that your children are cared for and safe will be my priorities. I also helped to care for an infant who was 4 months old with special needs. I believe that children need consistency and have adults that anticipate their needs. I have been volunteering with The Help Group in a program for children with special needs. I am patient, compassionate and nurturing. I am available at the times stated but I also have flexibility in my schedule as things come up.

My Husband and I have have inconsistent schedules as we both work in the service industry and Valerie is always eager and ready to watch our baby whenever she can. We instantly loved her as she showed tender loving care for him as soon as she walked in the door. She follows our instructions and adapts to his needs. She reads to him holds him when he needs to be held and plays with him. She loves our little man and even asks how he is from time to time. She sends us pictures and videos from her phone of him when we are working so that we don't miss him too much. She's such a lovely lady.
