About Valerie

As a music professional, I was asked by Valerie to come in and provide musical sessions for her Mom because she loved music. We would sing together, and sometimes, we would watch musical programs together. Valerie even went as far as to provide Zoom performances for her Mom and other senior friends when in-person sessions were not possible. During my in home moments, what I witnessed was nothing short of incredible in the ways that Valerie cared for her Mom. In addition to bringing me in, she made sure that her Mom was always involved in some kind of activity to continue to stimulate her sensory, emotional, cognitive, and physical well being, including but not limited to; brain games, online classes, support groups, exercise, bird watching, healthy food preparation, etc. I also witnessed the immense emotional connection that they shared, which, I believe, was caused in part by the above and beyond nature of all that Valerie did to provide companionship, engagement, and many moments of joy for her Mom. I would highly recommend Valerie as a companion and/or caregiver. She has a wealth of knowledge in the ways of health and wellbeing, but even more importantly, she has a heart that allows her to give of herself in ways that only a special few are able to do.
