Hello Parents! I would like to introduce myself, my name is Valeria. I recently finished college with a degree in music. I have a great love for the arts and education. I also have quite a passion for child care and child development. My experience in childcare has been obtained through babysitting and nanny work through Care.com. I also grew up an older sister and loved it! I always tried to keep our fun educational. Our usual activities consisted of playing outside, reading, arts & crafts, and watching movies. My siblings and I were always very creative/imaginative, so we loved to make up our own games and activities!

We found Valeria online through care.com and after a series of interviews hired her to watch our 6 month old son, and help with after-school care for our older daughters (8, 10, 12). Valeria integrated into our family very quickly, caring for our children like her own family. Valeria watched our children five days a week (Monday- Friday) consistently arriving at our home on time, ready to help with early morning routines and getting ready for school. She was flexible in the afternoon with after-school pickups, getting children to and from afternoon activities and always ensuring the kids had snacks along the way. Valeria was wonderful with mealtimes for our infant son- she ate with him at the table to model and structure mealtimes, and supporting our wishes to integrate new foods into his diet. Valeria would bring him treats that that he still loves to this day! She effortlessly understood the specific needs of all of our kids with varying ages, abilities, interests, and tools. Valeria was kind and compassionate to everyone- including our pets. On many occasions Valeria supported our son in baby music classes to support his social development. We were grateful for Valeria’s commitment to our family and feel that any family to employ her is fortunate for her care.
