About Valentina

I have been working with children for over 10 years as a teacher, and live-in and live-out nanny in Russia and the USA. I am trust line registered, certified in First Aid/CPR. I worked with children from 3 months old to 15 including several families with twins. I use different Childhood Education Methods: Montessori, Waldorf, nature schools, and parent co-ops. I focus on the child's needs for their best mental, emotional and physical development. My experience as an acting teacher and social worker brings positive, creative activities to benefit a child's growth. I speak Russian, English and ASL. In several families, I helped children learn a second (Russian or English) by speaking to them regularly in that language and adding frequent opportunities to learn and practice the language in their day-to-day activities. I use my knowledge of ASL with infants and toddlers thus they will learn how to communicate emotions, desires, and objects before spoken language development.
