About Valencia

Greetings! I've worked in education for 10+ years with grades K-12. I currently tutor students in the School District and online. As a former Educational Specialist, I've supported students with a variety of different learning styles. I'm known as the math whisperer. What can I say... I love all things math! I'd describe my personality as energetic, a bit animated, but consistent in order to uphold rigor in my sessions. I like tutoring because it's a hour to see students experience "ah-ha" moments in a subject not cared for. I'm looking for a job that has flexibility. I started tutoring in 2016. In my spare time, I like to hike, go to the movies, and attend farmers markets. One thing you should know about me is being a former collegiate athlete, I have a mindset that anything is possible. My skills include math grades 3-8, Algebra 1 and 2, and Geometry. I have worked with college students as well.
