As a caregiver, my passion lies in nurturing the growth and development of young minds. With 30 - five years of experience, I've discovered that my patience, creativity, and friendly nature make me a great fit for this role. I believe in open communication with parents and follow their preferred method, whether it be through written daily reports or verbal communication at pickup. When it comes to enforcing household rules, I take my cues from the parents to ensure consistency. My favorite moments are spent engaging children in arts and crafts, board games, art/crafts and educational activities that make learning fun. My educational background includes coursework in early child development, and I'm certified in both First Aid and CPR. I'm comfortable caring for one child at a time, up to the age of 11. As a non-smoker, my healthy lifestyle extends to the children in my care. Beyond childcare, I'm happy to assist with cooking, meal preparation and laundry for children.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joy two years ago through my toddler who became best friends with the child in her care. Instantly upon meeting it’s obvious that Joy is such a kind and sweet person and she is an absolute natural with children and babies. I was able to witness first hand the care she gave to the child in her charge. She was 100% attentive, but gave space when the child was ready to explore, always observing the child and teaching as they went about their day. Joy loves crafts, reading, singing and all of the things you would want for your child. I never saw her on her phone or engrossed in conversations with other adults. She always seemed right there, partnered with the child. Over the years I’ve also had the pleasure of having Joy watch my own children, including my newborn baby. As a second time mom, I felt pretty comfortable in taking care of my new baby but in the most supportive way Joy showed me things I missed. I think the world of Joy and her next family will be incredibly lucky.
