During my sophomore year of university I became a short time personal Caregiver for someone who was diagnosed with Muscular atrophy in their teens. I attended to all his needs in starting the day outside food prep and handling of fecal matter. I aided in everything from getting him out of his bed to bathing, feeding, clothing and healthy companionship. I worked with him for 1 year before I had to leave, and in that time I gained a different kind of appreciation and respect for this line of work. Now I want to give back however I can to make a difference.
