At Merakey (formerly Allegheny Valley Schools), I worked with clients with special needs, including those with autism, Down syndrome, and those in wheelchairs or with feeding tubes. I was assigned to a group of four young men, aged 18 to 45, but could be responsible for up to six individuals depending on coverage. My duties included bathing the clients, checking and changing them while in bed, ensuring they were fed dinner and their PM snack, and conducting 30-minute checks to see if they needed changing or repositioning every two hours until my shift ended. If any clients required assistance, it was my responsibility to provide it promptly. At the end of each shift, I completed the clients' goal plan books, recorded their bowel movements in the BM book, and entered all data into the computer.
