About Tyra

Hi my name is Tyra and I would love to help with your school work. I have a psychology degree from Emory University and I have experience as a teachers assistant at John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth program. I started tutoring elementary and middle school students in high school and continued on through college. The majority of my tutoring experience is in English and language arts. I have experience grading middle and high school student's essays and providing feedback to improve their work. I also have experience with essay prep for standardized testing. In terms of art tutoring I have taken many art history, drawing, painting and print making classes. Creativity is very important but can also be tricky at times! If sports or fitness help is needed I have experience coaching soccer and basketball. I played both sports for years and have worked with kids ages 6-16.
