I hired her to help me get around the house, perform activities of daily living and take me to several doctors appointments. I gave her a series of tasks written down on a piece of paper more often than not. She was only completing 50% or less of the items on the piece of paper I had to continually remind her to go back to complete certain tasks. Yesterday I asked her to gather all of the trash and recycling, for example and take it to the street this morning. I heard the garbage trucks coming down the road and there were no trash cans out in front of the street again this is the second week in a row this has happened. And I as a disabled person on hospice was forced to try to drag all of the garbage cans out before the trucks came. She is also been repeatedly late for assignments or has given me a few minutes notice that she has to leave immediately. She’s on her phone throughout the workday, despite repeated conversations asking her not to be on her phone unless there was an emergency. She worked for me on Christmas Day so I agreed to go to a movie that both of us wanted to see and she was gonna bring her daughter when she arrived though she had brought two other children that maybe they were her nieces or cousins nobody asked if they could bring these other children. They expected me to pay for their movie tickets. It was just kind of a weird situation. There have been a series of examples of very poor communication and extremely poor following of directions. I’ve given her very simple directions of things that I need done in the household and invariably almost every item I had to comment on she immediately did it again and then the following day the same thing happened. But meanwhile, I could never get her off her telephone so many of the time I was talking to her and her phone was still attached to her ear. At this point, I cannot trust her to work in my home because she cannot follow directions, is unreliable and is constantly canceling, and she’s only worked for me for a handful of weeks.
