Hi there! I'm Maria, and I'm excited to share a bit about myself. With a decade of experience in education under my belt, I've found that the challenges of the job only add to its rewards. A fun fact about me: I'm a proud survivor of acute lymphoblastic leukemia; I was just 3 years old when I faced that battle, and I'm thrilled to be celebrating 27 years of survivorship this year! I come from a big, vibrant family-being the middle child among seven siblings (including some step-siblings) has shaped who I am. When I'm not teaching, you'll often find me diving into my favorite hobbies, like arts and crafts, or enjoying a board game or video game with friends. I also love cooking and baking, especially trying out new recipes. I'm always ready for an adventure, weather permitting. Punctuality is key for me, as I believe it shows respect for everyone's time. I can't wait to meet you and your family and share some wonderful experiences!
