About Trina

Hello! My name is Trina and I recently retired from Columbus City Schools where I taught Kindergarten for 34 years. I hold a BS in Early & Middle Childhood education from OSU and an Ohio teaching license for grades K through 8th. I'm excited about the prospect of caring for little ones once again. I've always had a passion for working with children-I was the neighborhood "mommy's helper" at the age of 10, a babysitter at the age of 12, and a nanny in college. I also have 2 children of my own-a son and a daughter, both of whom attend OSU. I'm patient, attentive, creative, and loving. I believe open communication is essential for a successful working relationship. I focus on childhood development through songs, finger plays, books, arts & crafts, outside play, and community activities (library, zoo, COSI, pools). I have a valid driver's license and a reliable car. I'm comfortable with pets, especially cats and dogs. My husband and I have 2 big dogs ourselves. I'm a non-smoker.
