My husband was diagnosed with dementia late last year and I needed to have someone come to the house basically to be a companion and help him with daily tasks when I was not home. I hired Tori to come in 8-10 hours a week to assist him while I was in Ventura taking care of our grandkids and she was wonderful. She is caring and compassionate and knows how to handle people with cognitive decline. She taught me a lot as well. If she wasn’t busy with him she did household chores and gardening for us. I wasn’t sure how my husband would react to having someone he didn’t know come in and stay with him but the transition was beautiful, Tori was so kind and patient with him and really put him at ease. She made a difficult time in our lives so much easier and more comfortable. My gig taking care of my grandkids ended with them going to preschool full time so I no longer needed Tori to come stay with him but I sure do miss her and so does he. She is an excellent caregiver and I give her my very highest recommendation.
