About Tonya

Hello, I'm Tonya. I'm a seasoned mom of 3 (21, 15, & 9), literacy specialist, certified educator, and love children of all ages. I like working with kids because I enjoy their hilarious nature, brilliant minds, & sweet souls. From my years as a public school teacher to tutor through High School, kids bring joy & some challenges. I started working with kids when teaching Elementary School in 2006. After teaching full time for over 10 years, we moved to CO where I began tutoring & homeschooling with Classical Conversations. In my spare time, I like to hike, kayak, read, cycle, workout & travel with our family. One thing you should know about me is that my youngest is 9 & we've homeschooled for 9 years. Our oldest is graduated & in college & our middle will be a sophomore in High School. I direct at a local CC Community on Tuesdays & unavailable then. My skills include nurturing, supportive to families, & a certified educator.
