I have 20+ years experience working with all levels of care. Companion care, dementia, general care, post surgery, post injury, hospice, and all other areas of elder care services. I like caring for seniors because it weighs on my heart that there are people out there doing this job that don't care for it so I try every day to show my clients what true sincerity is. I'm looking for a job where I can create an environment for my client where he or she is comfortable, happy and safe. I started caring for seniors when my grandfather got cancer. I had a front row seat when hospice took care of him and it was so beautiful. . it is a true blessing to do what others are not able to do for their family. I am in charge of my aunt & uncle's care. They were both in a skilled nursing rehab & being discharged home but knew they would be needing private duty care in home. I called every company in the 806 area. Being completely overwhelmed, a friend told me about Care.com. Tonya's profile just spoke to my heart so I reached out to her. She responded immediately & upon our speaking I finally felt a moment of relief. That feeling didn't end but only grew stronger once she was there to take care of them. She made them feel comfortable with someone being in their home which was a huge issue for them to accept. She made my aunt's last days easier & brought a smile to her face. Tonya has connected with my uncle & trust me, that is quite a feat. She had gone above and beyond to care for him. She is more than employee, she has become our friend & family. I couldn't have found a more perfect soul to care for them. She has a true heart and been a blessing to all of us 🙏🏻
