About Tonya

My passion for fostering children's growth and development led me to become a caregiver. With over 17 years of experience as a foster parent and preschool teacher, and as an adoptive parent of five children, I have gained extensive knowledge and skills in childcare. I am patient, calm, and friendly, which allows me to create a nurturing environment for children. My approach to communication with parents involves verbal updates during pickup and adherence to their preferred communication methods. Regarding household rules, I follow the parents' lead to maintain consistency for the children. To ensure their engagement and development, I enjoy playing a variety of games with children, including outdoor sports, board games, puzzles, and educational games. I am comfortable caring for two children and have experience working with children from 1 to 11 years old. I have some high school education and have completed First Aid Training.
