About Tina

I started caring for seniors when I was old enough to help my grandmother care for the seniors in our neighborhood at around 8-9 years old. I fell in love with helping people who couldn't take care of themselves. Shortly after high school I started working at Southaven Healthcare for about 10 years. I got my CNA certification in the early 90's at Senatobia Convalescence center through a CNA program they were offering. In my spare time, I like to cook, sew, fish and spend time with my family. I take pride in myself and my work. I treat people with kindness, dignity and respect. I can help do anything my clients need but also like to promote independence if it can be done so safely. I try to help my clients with exercises/ROM too. If they are bed bound I believe in turning them to prevent pressure sores, and getting out of bed as much as possible if it can be done safely. My skills include vital signs, bathing, cleaning, and cooking. (I don't cut diabetics fingers nails or toenails.)
