About Tina

I am a certified teacher for 17 years in the Merrillville School District. I currently teach 8th grade English. I have taught elementary school for summer school only. My 8th grade class consists of lower learning students that need a little extra. In order for my students to be successful, strategizing is key. It is my job to identify how these students learn best and use their strengths to their benefit. I have also done test prep classes before I-Learn testing window. I am still employed at Merrillville schools, therefore evenings would be best. I'm looking for a job that the child wants to learn. I'm looking for something after work to make ends meet for myself as well. As a teacher, we are not a high paying profession but I do believe it is a calling to go the. I also have a degree in Business Management with a minor in marketing. I worked in the business field for nearly two years but didn't find it fulfilling. I then quit and went back to school to be a teacher.
