I honestly don't have much experience being responsible for a pet, but most of that has been recent since I got a baby kitty just over a year ago. I pretty much play with him whenever I'm bored/free or if I notice him bring me one of his toys. He also loves cuddling with me which is super cute. He likes to play fetch mainly, but sometimes I'll dangle something and that'll keep him entertained. For dogs, I love to play fetch, go on walks/runs, relax, or whatever else seems situationally sound. I don't have as much experience caring for dogs, but I promise I love it just as much! Many of my relatives have dogs and I've babysat a dog before, so I do certainly have experience with them. I do also have experience babysitting an old dog, whom I mostly just fed and put to sleep, but I've played with dogs plenty in my life and have so much fun doing it! As a young, active man, I will make sure your pet and I will both have a blast no matter what. Unless your pet doesn't like that, of course!
