My dad is an army vet and part of the wounded warriors program. I've cared for him for most of my life and didn't realize how similar that was to senior caregiving. I had to administer his medication and ensure he took it at the proper times, made sure he kept with a specific diet, hung out with him and gave him company, etc. It was a lot but it was nice knowing I was giving "life" to another human in need. Everyone needs a bit of kindness and care, especially those in need!
