I specialize in tutoring children ages 4 -12. I have been teaching children for over 20 years and have found that children learn best in a fun and rewarding environment. My focus is homework assistance, math, language arts, science and social studies. I have unique ways to teach the necessary material and have it translate to the classroom. I foster a love of learning through play by using fun math and language art games. Creating silly stories and fun writing activities can also help improve reading comprehension and story writing. All of these things can drastically improve your child's interest in school, and can help rebuild confidence and self-esteem. I will partner with you (the parent), your child(ren) and the school teachers to help ensure your child's success and happiness. I have experience with common core!
