Hello! I'm Tyra, I've been studying for the past two years, and have two years experience as both a TA and a summer camp counselor. I've worked with students with disabilities, LGBTQ, and from a few different backgrounds. I enjoy baking, reading, nature, and learning and practicing new skills. I have experience with first aid, although it has been some time since I had training for CPR. When getting to know a student/camper/child/family I tend to take things slow to develop rapport and a solid baseline of expectations, and move forward from there with safety being a priority. I'm also glad to lead activities, keep kids on task for a balance of fun and schoolwork, and engage in their interests and learning opportunities. If there are any questions or concerns I'm always glad to discuss them in more depth as they come up!
