I worked closely for a family with9-year-old twins who had cerebral palsy and autism, along with working with several autistic kids over the years! They have been some of my absolute favorite people to be around and I enjoyed learning about how to better care for them. I would work on physical therapy(walking and more mobility training), I would change diapers, give baths, feed, change, and care for them. I loved seeing how strong their personalities were and getting to watch them grow and learn, it was an absolute joy to be around them, even through the tantrums and meltdowns which are inevitable at times. I am also very conscious especially living in covid times about the need to keep everything clean. I would clean thoroughly and am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I'm a quick learner and enjoy new things, always looking for more opportunities to learn and grow!
