I have been a private duty caregiver for over 20 years and have worked with seniors with dementia and psychiatric care. Currently I am a Health Care Technician Supervisor in Critical Care at the VA of Pittsburgh, PA where I have worked since 2006. As an employee at the VA facility, I have taken care of veterans, male/females with illnesses such as psychiatric, Alzheimer's/Dementia, cancer, substance abuse and wound care. I love what I do because helping others is my passion. I have attended Bradford School Of Business for Medical Assistant-1992 and Community College Of Allegheny County Braddock Hills-2006, and CCAC for Drug and Alcohol Therapy.

To anyone reading this review, I can only say this: hire her now before someone else does. Theresa's calm, peaceful, compassionate, loving and strong spirit was a true blessing to me in my father's last year of life. My dad was particularly difficult to assist as he suffered from both Parkinson's and Parkinson's Disease dementia. Every single day he was at risk for falling at any moment and was stubborn enough to be feisty with many of his caregivers. He was never that way with Theresa. He adored her and called her "Peaches". Theresa is so passionate about being a caregiver that she bonds with her clients as if they are family. Indeed, to her they are. You can count on her to keep an eye on countless things - everything from medications to facilities to mood. I always felt like my father was with a true friend when he was with Theresa. I just wish there was some way to keep her in my life and caring for someone in my family (like me!) now that my dad is gone.
