I have over 15 years of experience as a caregiver. My father had a massive stroke which paralyzed his body causing him to be fed through a feeding tube and could no longer walk. he lived for another 13 years. I got to witness how disabling and inspiring his life would be. My mother fought a hard battle with breast cancer which eventually took her life. I know how difficult it is to be involved in these illnesses but also how rewarding! I was able to give my parents the gift of being together, in their home until the end. I have been fortunate to work with clients with Dementia, COPD, spinal cord injuries, quadriplegic, Paraplegic, Spine surgeries, wound care and tube feedings, ostomy care, catheter care, wound care, I am also trained in pool therapy. I worked in the Physical Therapy world for 20 plus years. I also love to travel.

Theresa is AMAZING! We hired her to help care for our mom and she exceeded every expectation possible. She’s is caring, compassionate and smart! She helped us with everything from companionship, grooming, cleaning, shopping, meal preparation, transportation to appointments, assistance with OT/PT (when mom would do it). She did whatever mom asked of her. But yet knew when something wasn’t right she called us. What I didn’t expect was the huge gap she left in our lives when she moved to Florida. I quickly realized how much more she had been doing without even being asked and it made life for mom (and us) so much better. The people we hired after Theresa had big shoes to fill (and never hit the mark). If you have a chance to hire her, don’t wait, it will be the next decision you ever make.
