About Thayer

I started working with children at 15 when I became a counselor at Sierra Canyon Day Camp. This experience gave me the ability to create fun out of any situation. Over the years, I have also babysat for multiple families ages ranging from 2-12 years old. Moreover, I hold certifications in CPR and First Aid, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children under my care. In addition to my hands-on experience, I am an active volunteer at the Foster Children's Resource Center, where I directly engage with children in the foster care system, ranging in age from newborns to 21 years old. Recently, I graduated from UCSB. At USCB, I served on the executive board for a non-profit environmental education program aimed at elementary school students. This experience deepened my passion for fostering positive learning environments for children. In summary, I genuinely enjoy connecting with and caring for children, as they have the ability to teach us valuable lessons.
