For seven months I worked with a sweet and happy 2-year-old. She loved to read, dance, and was quick to pick up sign language. She also just happened to have Down Syndrome. I used creativity and my high energy to encourage this child, but her constant smiling face did just as much to encourage me. Together we had tea parties, dance parties, went to the playground, built tunnels and forts, and played dress up. Previous to that, I worked for a year at a therapeutic preschool that helped children with Autism, PTSD, ODD, etc. I created incentive programs to help them succeed, including one where I dressed up like a princess for a day of school.
