About Tessa

Hi there! My name is Tessa. I am a proud Chicagoan, artist, and have worked with children for the past seven years as a camp counselor, youth theatre director, teaching artist, babysitter, and children's party performer. My experience has shown me just how often children are dismissed and talked down to because of their ages. This has inspired my philosophy of meeting the children I work with at their level: with an understanding of how times, and therefore children's awareness of the world around them, have changed, as well as being free of judgment and condescension. Outside of work, I am most stimulated by creativity. As a writer, director, and actor for the stage and screen alike, I can often be found scribbling down ideas for dialogue, attending writers' workshops, and performing.
