About Tessa

The majority of my experience comes from three years of babysitting two young boys - aged three and five at the time of my start. I prepared meals, assisted in nighttime routines, made bus-stop pickups, coordinated after-school activities, and helped with questions on homework assignments. I was present for such milestones as: monumental birthdays, first days of school, and developmental steps of exploration and expression. In addition to babysitting two sisters aged seven and 11, I served as an assistant teacher for a summer at Bay Farm Montessori Academy. My favorite responsibilities involved prepping campers for and participating in musical theatre performances, pool-time, and art projects. I have navigated the nuanced dynamics between brothers and sisters, developed long-term relationships of care with families, and overseen a large number of children of through the lens of a Montessori education. I feel equipped to handle any situation with composure, creativity, and warmth.
