About Terry

I am a former 1st grade teacher, and I'm passionate about fostering the growth of young minds and providing a caring environment for children of all ages. My path to being a part-time childcare provider stems from my desire to support families and positively impact children's lives. There is magic in teaching a child to read their first words or how to do basic math or letting their mind wander. I believe in patience, kindness, and open communication with parents and their children, ensuring peace of mind for everyone. You can expect regular text messages, or video calls, and I will always prioritize the safety and well-being of children over all else. As a former educator, I am comfortable managing classrooms, but for direct childcare, I prefer working with 1-3 kids at a time, ranging from preschoolers to teenagers. For activities, I prefer board games with learning components and outdoor activities over excessive TV / screen time.
