I am an enthusiastic childcare provider. My experience working with children began when I was a birthday party coordinator at a bowling alley. Being with children in that environment inspired me to pursue a career working with kids, so I began my education towards becoming a teacher. I worked for the YMCA for about 2 years while attending Sac State. During my time there, I organized activities, provided snacks, assisted with homework and communicated with parents daily. The YMCA center served students K-6 and I had many experiences with all grade levels. I spend this last year in a credential program at CSU Chico. I taught 3rd and 4th grade students at Shasta Elementary and Nord Country. I now have a teaching credential, but I am not quite ready to leave Chico.
