Hello! I am a grad student (Teaching credential/M. Ed with emphasis in English and E-teaching) near the end of her program who also has worked for 10 years in Special Education. I have an AA in Art and a BA in English. Right now, I am finishing my Masters and credential, while also working in a Special Education classroom for Moderate to Severe. I have over 10 years experience there. I also grew up with a sibling with a cognitive disability so I have personal experience as well. I love helping kids be more independent, and it is my specialty, as I work in Adult Transition (18-22 years old). My schooling has only enhanced my interest in working with kids and teens and by next fall, I hope to have my own classroom. I can provide basic childcare or Adult Care as well as tutoring in English Language Arts for those in SDC, Mainstream, or an Inclusion academic program. I especially love to do Art with students, since everyone can be successful in Art! Personal references are available by request. As an educator, I also can work with your child on IEP goals and independent living skills if so desired.
