Currently pursuing a degree in Special Education: Severe Disabilities, and a second degree in Spanish with a concentration in secondary education. I am currently first-aid certified, CPR certified, and mental-health certified. I have extensive experience caring for children ages 3-17 in both calm and highly stimulative environments, as well as caring for people with special needs ages 12-22. I had an internship in high school with the VISTA program for students with severe disabilities. Here I assisted both high and low functioning students with varied disabilities such as cerebral palsy, down syndrome, non-verbal, immobile, undiagnosed, etc. In addition I am currently a peer mentor at Westfield State University for the ICE program, which is a program dedicated to the students with special needs on campus. In doing this I have gained more experience with students with autism, and other disabilities. I have also worked with special needs students on a volunteer trip abroad in Belize.

Teresa has been caring for my 3 boys. She always comes early, and with a plan for the day whether it is arts and crafts or taking them to a local play gym. My kids absolutely adore her and won't stop talking about her when she's gone!
