About Teresa

Hello! I am available for occasional baby-sitting, primarily in the West Seattle area. My experience as a household manager/Nanny for twin babies and a toddler was incredibly fun! For 3. 5 years, I took the children on many great adventures. When we stayed home, we played games, read stories, made art etc. We took walks (and strolls for the babies) all over the neighborhood and the many parks and beaches all over town. We had many rainy-day kitchen "picnics" on the floor. My employer's referral best describes me: "When the Nanny that I had at the time left to pursue a nursing career, Teresa stepped in to "temporarily" help me out and stayed to work with me and my three children for about 3 1/2 years. During this time she has done just about everything that needed doing. Her primary responsibilities included caring for my children, driving them to and from school, taking them shopping for clothes, presents for birthday parties, taking them to the park, preparing meals for them, helping with homework (for my oldest). She has taken my kids camping during the summer, to the beach, and sledding and to various other outings." "Teresa had also taken over much of my household work, she has done my laundry, my shopping, my bulk shopping (not an easy task with twin toddlers). She has supervised workers who have come into my home over the years- house cleaners, yard workers, exterminators, and even a plumber or two. She has managed household finances, cleaned my house and done pretty much anything that I asked her to do. She is extremely self motivated, and does not wait to be asked to do things- she just seems to know what needs to be done and does it. Teresa is reliable, responsible and extremely trustworthy, otherwise there is no way that I would trust her with my children. She is enthusiastic, she relates very well to kids, is kind, caring and thoughtful, and she is a lot of fun." "Teresa's attitude is positive, and enthusiastic, she is fearless when it comes to taking my kids on "adventures". She loves being outdoors, and there is no job that is too messy or "yucky" for her. Her communication style is straightforward, if there is something that needs to be said she says it in a kind but straightforward way. Teresa's reason for leaving was that my little ones started preschool 5 days a week and I did not have enough hours to offer her to work. I would hire Teresa back in a minute, she has been an amazing Nanny, I would rate her on a scale of 0-10 as a 10."
