About Taylor

I worked as a both a middle school Resource Specialist and middle school mild/moderate SDC (Special Day Class) teacher in the Castro Valley Unified School District for the last seven school years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Liberal & Civic Studies, a Mild/ Moderate Education Specialist Credential, and a Master of Arts in Teaching all from Saint Mary's College of California. I have experience working in all levels of special education classrooms as well as some general education classrooms. I have especially found success working with students on the Autism Spectrum Disorder and with reading difficulties/ disabilities. I love working in small groups and one-to-one with students because it makes it easier for me to understand how they learn and how to keep them engaged based on their unique interests.
