I like working with animals because they are always honest and can read people so well. I'm looking for a job that gives me the flexibility to spend more time with my own animals. I started working with animals when I was 7. I trained my childhood dog in agility and took classes with her until I was I teenager. Then I started training horses when I was in high school. During my senior year I worked at a dog kennel and gained experience handling many different breeds, temperaments of dogs and would often be in charge of 20-30 dogs per day. I have extensive experience with farm animals as well as dogs and cats. I also have canine CPR certification and have taken two animal care courses. I have owned/worked with pets that experienced seizures, were diabetic, had mobility problems, brain tumors affecting their coordination etc. I understand the extra care that is required for older pets or pets that have a condition.
