I'd describe my personality as relaxed, happy, and easy to talk to. I like tutoring because it is often challenging for students to find help that is willing to focus on fundamentals and filling existing knowledge gaps before moving forward into a lesson. I'm looking for a job that allows me to work with students in the early evening or weekends. I started tutoring when friends and family started sending their children to me to help them with their studies, and consistently received feedback that they learned more with me in 1 session, than other tutors they worked with. In my spare time, I like to enjoy spending time with my friends and family. One thing you should know about me is my personal experience helping my son with ADHD, Anxiety, and executive functioning challenges from 3rd grade and 4th grade achieve 4s in English and Math on the EOG Exams. My skills include beginner and intermediate Spanish from elementary to college students, and k-5 math.

Two years ago (2022 my daughter was struggling with math after coming out of COVID-19. To give her break from screens I got her math tutor in person who she met at the library once week. There was never good feed back from the tutor . After my daughter scored a1 on the EOG l learned from. My child that her tutor was using my tutoring time to shop on line and when ask to explain it seem like my child was bothering her . I was so upset and felt betrayed by a person who was suppose to help while being paid for a service. I was a bit skeptical getting a new tutor. The next year I desperately need a math tutor for my daughter who was now in 4th grade . Through word of mouth a friend told how Terry was helping her son with 4th grade Math and he was doing very well . Although I was initially against online sessions, it allowed me to see that my daughter was actually learning and enjoyed working with Terry . What I liked the most was how she took the time to help build up my daughter’s confidence as they worked together. At the end of the school year my daughter got a 3 in her math EOG which made her feel so good and no more tears .
