I have been working in the field with clients that have special needs for eight years now. The clients that I have served have a wide array of needs specific to them. I've had several clients that have Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, Tourette's syndrome, some physical disabilities, and wheelchair bound. The duties that I performed are specific to the client's needs. This can be assisting with bathing, personal hygiene, food preparation, housekeeping, picking up medications, or paying bills if needed. I truly enjoy my work. It's a passion for me to be the direct link to a person's independence and be able to help them learn new skills as well. I have learned so much from working in this field. It is so rewarding to leave a lasting impression and a smile on someone face. I look forward to continuing my work of spreading the joy.
