For the last 12 years I have been caring for the elderly both professionally (nursing homes, and private care) and personally (parents and in-laws). While it is not an easy task, I have grown to love the field of helping the elderly and people in need, as it gives me the opportunity to practice my gifts of serving, patience, and care. I am a certified caregiver and I have a CNA license. I can help with cooking, light cleaning, going to doctors appointments, medication reminders, shopping, and running errands. I am responsible, patient, kind, and have excellent recommendations from previous private care. I play piano, can knit, sow, like to paint, and like any crafts projects. I am a great communicator for companionship.

Our family cannot thank Tanya enough. She started with us in Aug 2024 and was with our Dad, and us, until he passed in January, 2025. Others have said she was like family and we couldn’t agree more. Our Dad, Bill, especially enjoyed his visits with her and all the conversations about music and history. She shared a common interest because his Father spent time in Russia back in WWI. Her specialty, we think, is her personal touch. Even when family or others were visiting when she was there, she always stood near Bill and helped him with those personal things that only someone as caring and attentive to details would do (wiping his face, adjusting his jacket, fixing his hat, handing him things.) My sister and I interviewed and hired Tanya when our Dad was having serious anxiety issues and would panic thinking no one was there. Family, friends, and the staff at the nursing home ALL remarked how much Bill changed for the better after we had Tanya and another sitter coming in and spending a couple hours 2-3 times a week. It was truly remarkable. If you are looking for someone to do senior sitting, you would be fortunate and blessed if you could hire her. The greatest compliment we can give, in all honesty, is that our Dad loved Tanya and we had no doubt she loved him, too.
