About Tanya

As a homeschooling mother of four diverse children, I understand the nuanced care requirements of special needs families and of children with learning and developmental differences. I have over 25 years of experience in general childcare including all age ranges. I have worked with non-verbal autistic children, and I am comfortable caring for children who use alternative communication methods. I also have extensive experience working with various mental health conditions, childhood/adolescent mental health crisis, behavioral interventions, and have a solid knowledge base in social-emotional learning and development. I'm a creative, patient, and friendly caregiver who tailors my approach to each child's unique needs and prioritizes strong communication with parents. I am comfortable working with medical special needs, and I am infant/child/adult CPR/AED certified.
