About Tanner

I am patient, open-minded, and adaptable! I like working with kids because they are so open-minded. They soak up so much around them and are very active, full of imagination, and creative. I'm looking for a job that is flexible, transparent, and brings me joy. I started working with kids when my niece was born. I was a camp counselor with kids 5-8 for two summers and have been babysitting since I was 15. I like to write (fiction, and poetry), play video games, listen to music, go to bookstores, and shop! Patience and open-mindedness are incredibly important. Growing up, I saw how a lack of patience and open-mindedness could negatively impact people and I want to make sure I create that space for kids. They must have someone they feel comfortable around as they are trying to figure out who they are and what they like or want. My skills include communication skills (finding kid-friendly ways to explain difficult topics, gentle parenting tactics), problem solving, and organization.
