About Tammy

For 20 years, I have been in the field of education as a teacher and tutor. I have a good rapport with my tutoring families, and students enjoy my creativity, sense of humor, and patience. Whether we are working on academics, study skills, or functional life skills, I strive to challenge students while boosting confidence levels and keeping lessons engaging. My classroom teaching experience includes elementary, special education (elementary and secondary), educational therapy, and the home school environment. In my most recent full-time position, I served as lead teacher and coordinator in a special needs program for 7th-12th graders. I am state certified to teach elementary and special education and have a Master's degree in special education. My personal interests include spending time with my family, traveling, hiking, cooking, gardening, and reading.
