My experience with tending to pets ventures back as far as I can remember. I grew up on a farm in southern IN. We had Tennessee walkers amongst other horses, large dogs, small dogs, puppies and kittens, ferrets, fish, and hamsters as well as a slew of various farm animals. From chickens to peacocks, etc.. My grandmother conducted rescues for DNR. At times we would tend to baby deer as well as raccoons. Our veterinarian and farrier were as close as family. Once I grew I opted out of pets to hone in on professional pursuits but they hold a dear place in my heart. My roommate as a little one currently, her pup certainly has my heart.
