About Tamia

Hello, my name is Tamia. I am a 22-year-old student who just graduated from Howard University with a History degree seeking to further her career in law. I am a very responsible, respectful, and kind person. Being the oldest of 3 siblings, I always tell myself that I've been a babysitter my whole life. I love being a role model that my younger siblings can have to look up to. I love babysitting because it strengthens your relationship between you and the child. I enjoy creating a safe and fun environment for the child/children along with their parents. Yes, I do have experience with children with special needs. I currently am a Direct Support Professional. What that entails is that I work with adults who have special needs. I assist them on their day to day life: getting them dressed, combing their hair, brushing their teeth, cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. It truly is a rewarding job because I see how fortunate I am. I couldn't ask for a better job.
