About Tamera

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, enthusiastic, and kind. I like working with animals because pets are so cute and interesting, and I love how joyful I feel working with them. I've been caring for animals my whole life, first with childhood pets, then as part of a network of volunteers to help with cross-country relocation when pet owners could no longer care for their cats and dogs, and most recently providing dog and cat sitting for my neighbors in addition to caring for a robust urban farm with my own chickens, geese, and dog. In my spare time, I like to walk or run with my dog Sadie (though she usually prefers to walk after the first mile or so). My skills include basic grooming like brushing and nail trims, administering pet meds, and some basic dog training for common commands like sit, stay, right and left, etc.
