About Tamara

I am a state-certified Teacher, grades 1 through 8. I also am gifted, talented and certified. My past experience includes: nine years as a classroom teacher, six of that with third grade. Additionally, I've spent two+ years as a substitute teacher for Kindergarten through high school, although the majority of that was at the elementary level. As a nanny, I've worked with 3-year-old and a 9 and 10-year-old, in two families' homes. I am especially proficient at teaching reading and math and I have many great ideas for assisting children to reach their maximum potential. I've worked with students with a wide spectrum of capabilities, from struggling learners to highly talented. I welcome any input from parents that may help me better accommodate their children. I am serious about making the most of our time together and making learning fun! I occasionally display a sense of humor which helps to build a camaraderie with kids!
