Over the past year, my caregiving experience has been incredibly rewarding and challenging at the same time. At first, I focused on the basics: assisting with daily activities like meal preparation, helping with mobility, and ensuring comfort. As time passed, I became more attuned to the emotional and psychological aspects of caregiving providing companionship, offering emotional support, and understanding the needs of those in my care on a deeper level. I've learned the importance of patience, communication, and flexibility, as each day brings new challenges. I've gained experience with medication management, handling medical appointments, and coordinating with healthcare providers. Most importantly, I've developed a strong sense of empathy and resilience, realizing how crucial it is to take care of myself as well, so I can continue providing the best care. This journey has been one of growth, both for the people I care for and for myself.
