About Talia

Hi there! My name is Talia and I grew up in Portland, OR. I graduated from Scripps College in California this past May studying psychology and environmental science. I'm an active person who loves getting outdoors (avid runner, hiker, rock climber, biker, sailing). I enjoy spending time with children and grew babysitting for children and I taught swim lessons for children ages 1-16 through Portland Parks and Recreation. In high school, I enjoyed my work as a peer mentor, helping younger students with their homework and general academic support. As part of a psychology research lab in college, I worked with children, facilitating interviews relating to climate psychology! Throughout my experiences working with and caregiving for children, I enjoy getting to know their interests, and getting them involved with the world around them. I consider myself patient, approachable, calm, and creative. I also have my Wilderness First Responder certificate that includes First Aid and CPR.
