About Takia

Hello! My name is Takia, I am an early childhood educator with over a decade of expertise in education and childcare. I hold full licensure to work as a lead teacher with infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children, and school-aged students. My career began in Boston Public Schools, where I gained valuable experience as a teacher and a para-professional in the special education department, working closely with children with special needs and their families. Certified in CPR/First Aid, medication administration, and ABA training, I bring a well-rounded skill set to any role. My experience with EEC curricula includes Montessori, Reggio Emilia, as well as OWL (BPS), and I am particularly passionate about child-led teaching and nature-immersive learning. I thrive in environments that embrace a child-centered approach and enjoy creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities tailored to each child's interests and needs.
